The Feather
My letter for you is blind
So many years, I missed a kind
Of magic past, of magic land
Epic behaviour for a black ink
In the name of bravery
Written by my white feather
Lost in a dream of freedom
Away from my blackest nights
Today, I fight for the kingdom
I fight for my light
My Fight
Don't you forget,
We are all the same
The same blood, the same rage
Runs in our veins
Brothers, just remember
Why this blood rans this night
In the land of our free
Lost in a dream of freedom
Away from my blackest nights
Today, I fight for the kingdom
I fight for my light
Bloody pages of story
Written by my white Feather
That you tell us were so many lies
In the name of my enclose hopes
Let my thistle, my fatherland
Forever release it
Mother Earth
If my love for you
used to be so deep
That means nothing is more precious
Than freedom
My green fatherland
My great country
Today again, I'll give more than my blood
To see flowers again the thistle
Link in the same savage desire
We gave all things, we sacrificed so much
To the green grass still remains
Until the end of my passion's glance.
Freedom is not an utopia
It goes beyond the life
For my land's men
Dear remember! Remember!
That rivers bled red
From the anger of your fathers
I never gave up the hope
Nor in their cold jails
Nor with the suffer of Devil
I never forgotten this green grass
And I'll give you all my life,
Forever my life,
To see Flowers again the thistle
Link in the same savage desire
We gave everything, we sacrificed so much
To the green grass still remain
Until the end of my passion glance
Freedom is not an utopia
It goes beyond the life
For my land's men
Link in the same savage desire
We gave everything, we sacrificed so much
To the green grass still remain
Until the end of my passion glance
The Last Time Together
In this white feather
I wrote these dark pages of memories
Remember, this wild whistle
Tightened on my wounded heart
Sealing our love so long ago
Remember your smile
This eternal sun
I keep thee forever
Remember our farewell
The chorus from our hearts
Keep our glances in you
And throw away all our memories
Because I leave my land forever
This last time together
Would become our eternity
The knell of my freedom
Oh I'd like to see the Highlands
Before my corpse's sleeping infinitely
This higher, this purity
Let my glance to wander again
To these high hills from my land
Oh Lord, should we die to be free
To feel my fatherland, my origins
With the sound from this latitude
I hope in the name of this freedom
My feather and my sword will survive
To my alive legend.
The thistle
Oh Lord ! As love is needed
To an eternal life
With the sound of freedom,
Which I gave every part of me, so much sacrificed...
But without regret, I look at the sky
Flowers, forever, the thistle from my country.
Nemo me impune lacessit
Memories
Fàilte
I told you this story, written by my white feather
A lot of dead soldiers in the Starling Bridge
Will have given later the victory of our fatherland.
Sruighlea became the land of our hero,
Today, we can breath pure air from our meadows
Highlands are our heaven
Thanks to the behavior from this man of freedom
Remember once again why Dùn Èideann
Wanted to be free from this damned empire
Today, you scent a flower
Yesterday, fire and blood ran
I mise black thistle from yesterday
I am the lost memories for a lot of centuries ago
Don't forget my tale,
You, people from tomorrow
Think again, freedom had a price
So many poor men paid that
Today, be proud from your fatherland
Be proud to your thistle,
Smile to the world
And just say :
'S ann à Alba a tha mi
Mar sin leibh
